Product Review: O.P.I. Mariah Carey Collection - Liquid Sand Nail Polish

Hi, everyone! Today's blog post is about an O.P.I nail polish from the Mariah Carey Liquid Sand collection. I got the color 123 'Can't let go'. I got it for New Year's Eve because I wanted something sparkly and more exciting than a plain color nail polish. I wondered if I should write about it now since it is about a month later but I thought, why not. You can still get it from a lot of places online and I think it is suitable for other special occasions as well not just New Year's Eve.

I really enjoyed wearing this nail polish and kept it on my nails for about a week after New Year's Eve. The color is absolutely beautiful and it didn't chip at all. Two coats of this is everything you need. If it does chip after all, you can easily fix it by applying a small amount on the blank spot because after it dries it will completely blend with the old layer of nail polish. I was worried that removing it from my nails would be hard because of all the glitter and the glue in it but it wasn't that hard at all and I used my regular nail polish remover. I greatly recommend the Liquid Sand collection for everyone who likes fun and glitter nail polish colors. I haven't tried any of the other colors yet but I would love to.

What I Got for Christmas (Part 3): Clarins "The Essentials " Make-Up Palette

Hello! This post is part 3 of What I Got for Christmas 2013 series (here are part 1 and part 2). It is about the Clarins "The Essentials" Christmas eyeshadow palette. It was quite a popular gift this season but I think there are still a lot of places online where you can get a hold of it.

The palette consists of 10 light and medium browns, perfect for a natural everyday look. When I first saw it I wasn't sure if it's going to work for me because the colors are quite warm. I prefer more neutral and cold-toned shades but I've found some great combinations that I love on my skin tone. All the eyeshadows are nicely pigmented, very soft and really easy to blend. Also, they are made of 93% natural ingredients which is better for your skin. One thing I don't like about the shadows is that they don't have names which would've made the palette even more fun!

What I also love about it is the packing. It's very convenient to use and I think would be perfect for travelling because it's very compact and light. The palette comes with a two-sided eyeshadow brush. I haven't used that yet but I think it would work nicely for applying the shadows. You will need another brush for blending, though. There is also a little schema that gives you ideas about how to best combine the colors and where to put them on the eye.

Overall, I really enjoy using this product and I recommend it to anyone that wants a good everyday natural eyeshadow palette. That's it for the What I Got for Christmas series, guys! Thanks so much for reading! :))

What I Got for Christmas (Part 2): Soap & Glory Supercat Extreme Eyeliner

Hi, everyone! This is the second post about what I got for Christmas 2013 (read the first post here). It is about the Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen

I've been using this liner non-stop since I got it and I'm completely in love with it. The main reason for that is the fact it's super easy to use. Applying liquid liner has always been a bit of a struggle for me (and I don't even do a flick at the end) but with this one I'm able to do a nice thin line faster than ever. I guess the key for the easy application is the felt tip. It also does not smudge at all even if I don't use an eye primer underneath.

Another great thing about this liner is its glossy finish. This is probably not something that everyone would like but it really helps the color to look more intense and vibrant. I also love the packaging. I think Soap & Glory really put in a lot of thought when it comes to packaging.

It's super easy to do both thick and thin lines!

I really love this eyeliner and I would highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a great look and an easy application. Thank you, so much for reading! Keep an eye out for part 3 of What I Got for Christmas 2013! :)

What I Got for Christmas (Part 1): Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara + Mini Eyeshadow Palette

Hi, everyone! I decided to do a mini-series of blog post reviews of the beauty items I got for Christmas this year. Hope you enjoy!

The first thing I got is the Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara. It came with a mini eyeshadow palette as a free gift. I guess that they launched this small set especially for Christmas but you may still be able to get it at some places where it didn't sell out.

I've been using the mascara for a couple of days already and I really enjoy it. It has a medium-sized, soft-bristle brush that is extremely easy to use. The wand is perfectly shaped for getting even the smallest outer lashes and giving them a really nice and lasting curl hence the name of the mascara "Iconic Overcurl". What I also love about this mascara is that it's very black and intense which makes the lashes look very voluminous. It, of course, holds a curl very well throughout the whole day. This mascara is not as lengthening as the ones I usually use but I don't mind that.

The mini eye-shadow palette is also lovely. It has 5 grey/blue colors. I think they will work great for both people with lighter and darker eyes. The lightest color and one of the grey colors are a little bit shimmery and the other three eyeshadows have satin finish. They are all highly pigmented and easy to blend.

That's it for Part 1 of What I Got for Christmas Series. Thanks, so much for reading, guys and Happy Holidays! <3

Product Review: Lush Snow Fairy Massage Bar

Hello, everyone! Two weeks ago I got the limited edition Snow Fairy massage bar from Lush and I decided to write a small post to tell you all about it.

If you don't know what a massage bar is, it basically looks like a soap but in fact it is like a body butter that you can use all over your body for deeply moisturising and conditioning your skin. It warms up when you take it in your hands and it melts easily on your skin. This one leaves a light pink residue on the skin when you first apply it but it quickly disappears once you rub it in with your hands. It is also slightly shimmery which is probably the main reason I got it because I thought that would be really cute for the holiday season.

Another great thing is that it smells super sweet like candy and bubblegum. The smell is quite strong and it stays on the skin all day but I don't mind that at all. I would recommend you to go the nearest Lush shop and give it a try if you like that kind of thing. Don't forget that you'll need some kind of plastic or metal box (they sell them in Lush as well) to store it because it easily melts in warm places.

Thanks for reading and Happy Holidays! :))

Product Review: Clinique 3-Step Skin Care

Hi, everyone! I've been trying out the Clinique 3-step skin care routine, so I decided to write a review about it in case some of you are interested. I got a sample set for 9,99  and I think it will last me about a month. I've been using it for a little over 2 weeks and my skin's been feeling great. The set is available in four different versions depending on your skin type. Mine is for dry combination skin.

First step, of course, is cleansing and the product in the line for that is liquid facial soap. It has a gel-like formula that you massage on wet skin and then just rinse off with water. It's a pretty standard face cleanser but it does the job well. It's not too drying like some other cleansers I've tried. I would recommend to avoid using it on the eye area since it's not as gentle as a creamy cleanser.

Second step is exfoliating with the clarifying lotion. It is supposed to get rid of any excess oil and dirt on the skin that hasn't been removed during the first step. This is my absolute favourite out of the three products. This is just the best face toner I've tried and I'm completely in love with it. It cleanses the skin very deeply and it also smells really nice.

Step three is moisturising with the Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion +. It has very nice formulation and it feels light on the skin. It's also a great base for foundation.

Overall, I really enjoy using this skin care routine and my skin definitely likes it a lot. I think all of these products can work nice in a combination with other products as well. I probably will repurchase the clarifying lotion from step two because as I said earlier it's the best face toner. I'm not sure about the other two just because I'm curious to try out some different brands. I would really recommend this skin care routine. If you're not completely happy with your skin care at the moment, go ahead and give it a try and tell me in comments below what you think!

Thanks, so much for reading! :)

Product Review: Maybelline Master Drama Chromatics Khol Liner

Today's blog post is about the Maybelline Chromatics kohl liners. I saw them for the first time a couple of weeks ago so they must be a new release. They are creamy long-lasting pencil liners.

I got the color Purple Light. I picked it up because I often like to wear bright purples on my lower lash line because they really compliment my brown eyes.

It says that they last 16 hours and this liner really doesn't smudge on me all day. It's super easy to apply because it is very soft and creamy. The pigmentation is also amazing. The color is super intense and vibrant. Overall, I really enjoy using this liner. The only downside is that they make them in two or three bright colors. They aren't available in the traditional black or dark brown colors.

Thanks for reading! :)
