What I Got for Christmas (Part 1): Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara + Mini Eyeshadow Palette

Hi, everyone! I decided to do a mini-series of blog post reviews of the beauty items I got for Christmas this year. Hope you enjoy!

The first thing I got is the Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara. It came with a mini eyeshadow palette as a free gift. I guess that they launched this small set especially for Christmas but you may still be able to get it at some places where it didn't sell out.

I've been using the mascara for a couple of days already and I really enjoy it. It has a medium-sized, soft-bristle brush that is extremely easy to use. The wand is perfectly shaped for getting even the smallest outer lashes and giving them a really nice and lasting curl hence the name of the mascara "Iconic Overcurl". What I also love about this mascara is that it's very black and intense which makes the lashes look very voluminous. It, of course, holds a curl very well throughout the whole day. This mascara is not as lengthening as the ones I usually use but I don't mind that.

The mini eye-shadow palette is also lovely. It has 5 grey/blue colors. I think they will work great for both people with lighter and darker eyes. The lightest color and one of the grey colors are a little bit shimmery and the other three eyeshadows have satin finish. They are all highly pigmented and easy to blend.

That's it for Part 1 of What I Got for Christmas Series. Thanks, so much for reading, guys and Happy Holidays! <3

Product Review: Lush Snow Fairy Massage Bar

Hello, everyone! Two weeks ago I got the limited edition Snow Fairy massage bar from Lush and I decided to write a small post to tell you all about it.

If you don't know what a massage bar is, it basically looks like a soap but in fact it is like a body butter that you can use all over your body for deeply moisturising and conditioning your skin. It warms up when you take it in your hands and it melts easily on your skin. This one leaves a light pink residue on the skin when you first apply it but it quickly disappears once you rub it in with your hands. It is also slightly shimmery which is probably the main reason I got it because I thought that would be really cute for the holiday season.

Another great thing is that it smells super sweet like candy and bubblegum. The smell is quite strong and it stays on the skin all day but I don't mind that at all. I would recommend you to go the nearest Lush shop and give it a try if you like that kind of thing. Don't forget that you'll need some kind of plastic or metal box (they sell them in Lush as well) to store it because it easily melts in warm places.

Thanks for reading and Happy Holidays! :))

Product Review: Clinique 3-Step Skin Care

Hi, everyone! I've been trying out the Clinique 3-step skin care routine, so I decided to write a review about it in case some of you are interested. I got a sample set for 9,99  and I think it will last me about a month. I've been using it for a little over 2 weeks and my skin's been feeling great. The set is available in four different versions depending on your skin type. Mine is for dry combination skin.

First step, of course, is cleansing and the product in the line for that is liquid facial soap. It has a gel-like formula that you massage on wet skin and then just rinse off with water. It's a pretty standard face cleanser but it does the job well. It's not too drying like some other cleansers I've tried. I would recommend to avoid using it on the eye area since it's not as gentle as a creamy cleanser.

Second step is exfoliating with the clarifying lotion. It is supposed to get rid of any excess oil and dirt on the skin that hasn't been removed during the first step. This is my absolute favourite out of the three products. This is just the best face toner I've tried and I'm completely in love with it. It cleanses the skin very deeply and it also smells really nice.

Step three is moisturising with the Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion +. It has very nice formulation and it feels light on the skin. It's also a great base for foundation.

Overall, I really enjoy using this skin care routine and my skin definitely likes it a lot. I think all of these products can work nice in a combination with other products as well. I probably will repurchase the clarifying lotion from step two because as I said earlier it's the best face toner. I'm not sure about the other two just because I'm curious to try out some different brands. I would really recommend this skin care routine. If you're not completely happy with your skin care at the moment, go ahead and give it a try and tell me in comments below what you think!

Product Review: Maybelline Master Drama Chromatics Khol Liner

Today's blog post is about the Maybelline Chromatics kohl liners. I saw them for the first time a couple of weeks ago so they must be a new release. They are creamy long-lasting pencil liners.

I got the color Purple Light. I picked it up because I often like to wear bright purples on my lower lash line because they really compliment my brown eyes.

It says that they last 16 hours and this liner really doesn't smudge on me all day. It's super easy to apply because it is very soft and creamy. The pigmentation is also amazing. The color is super intense and vibrant. Overall, I really enjoy using this liner. The only downside is that they make them in two or three bright colors. They aren't available in the traditional black or dark brown colors.

Favorite Mascara: Maybelline The Rocket Volume Express Mascara

Hi, everyone! Today's post is about my favorite mascara at the moment Maybelline The Rocket Volume Express Mascara.

I previously used Maybelline The Falsies and I really liked it but I saw that The Rocket mascara was on sale and I decided to give it a try. I completely fell in love with it on the first time I used it. It is very different from other mascaras I've tried because it is a lot drier. The brush is also very unique. It is a big rubber brush with very short bristles that can get very close to the roots of the lashes. This mascara gives amazing volume and length while separating the lashes so you can apply a few coats without getting any clumps on the lashes. It is just a great all-in-one mascara. The one I use is the regular formula but there is also a waterproof version. I haven't tried it but it should work the same only it's probably a lot harder to remove. Tell me what you think about it if you've tried it!

Favorite Foundation: Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

Hi, guys! Today I decided to tell you about my favorite foundation at the moment - Rimmel Match Perfection. I'm in the color 103 True Ivory.

The reason I got this foundation is Fleur De Force recommended it a couple times in her Youtube videos and I really liked what she said about it. It is a liquid foundation with medium coverage. It is obviously supposed to match your skin tone quite well. I think it looks very natural on the skin and that's the main reason I like it so much. I think this foundation is perfect for normal skin. If you have oily skin, you would probably want to set it with powder and if you have dry skin, don't forget to put on a nice moisturiser underneath so that it applies smoothly on the skin. In my drug store there were 6 or 7 shades but is says on the Rimmel website that it is available in 11 shades which is very good for a drug store foundation. The finish of this foundation is very nice and natural not too matt and not too glowy or shiny. I also really like the packaging of this foundation. It is in a nice glass bottle and it also has a pump which is very convenient.

Product Review: Loreal 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution

Hi, everyone! About a month ago I wrote a blog post about the Bourjois Micellar Cleansing Water (you can read it here). I was totally in love with it is but I have to admit I found an even better product - the Loreal micellar water.

It has pretty much the same purpose as all cleansing waters - removes make up and dirt from the skin. It says on the bottle that it dissolves make up, unclogs pores and removes impurities, tones and soothes skin. It is also suitable for sensitive skin.

This product just does the job amazingly. I have never used something that removes eye make up so easily. I apply a small amount of the product on a cotton pad and hold it on my eyelid for 2 or 3 seconds and then just wipe off the make up. This water has no color and no scent and leaves no residue on the skin (that is the biggest plus against the Bourjois Water which leaves a bit sticky residue for a while). As for the price it is about as much as the Bourjois Cleansing Water but for a little less product so that makes it a bit more expensive but it's totally worth it! I'm super excited that I found this product because removing make up is my biggest pain in the evening and this just makes it so much easier!

Please, tell me if you know other amazing make up removers! Thanks for reading! :)

Product Review: MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick

Today's blog post is about one of my favorite lipsticks - MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick in the color Fashion City 365. This is the only MAC lipstick I've tried so far and I like it a lot.

I got this color because I wanted something natural and suitable for everyday wear. It is a nude color with orange undertones. I think it looks a lot more brown than it is on the MAC website. The formulation is very creamy and there is definitely a strong sheen when you put it on the lips as you probably guessed by the name. The only thing I don't like about the formula is that it doesn't work very well for dry lips (and my lips get very dry in the winter). Probably the best thing about this lipstick is the amazing smell. It smells very yummy like vanilla and sugar.

If I try more great MAC products, I will definitely write about it. Thanks for reading!

Product Review: Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner

Couple of weeks ago I needed to buy a new eyeliner and I decided to try something new. I bought the Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner. It is a felt tip liner in black. I'm not sure if they sell it in other colors.

It is just the easiest and most comfortable to use eyeliner I've ever tried. It draws very fine lines and the color is very intense and vibrant. I definitely recommend it to someone that struggles with applying eyeliner. I think using a felt tip liner is the best choice for quick and easy application and this Maybelline one is even easier to use than other ones I've tried.

The lasting power of this liner is also very good. I wear it only on my top eyelid and it stays put all day. If eyeliner tends to smudge on your eyelids, try using an eye primer to help the product stay longer on your eyes.

Product Review: Bourjois Micellar Cleansing Water

Hi, everyone! Today's blog post is about the Bourjois Micellar Cleansing Water.

I have been using this product for a while and I'm in love with it. It is a very gentle make up remover. It is very lightly scented and is hypoallergenic so it is suitable for sensitive skin. I use it to take off my face and eye make up and it does the job very well. I also like to use it to cleanse my face in the morning before applying my make up. It leaves the skin feeling very clean and refreshed.

Another thing that I like a lot is that it comes in a pretty big bottle and you don't need  much to remove your make up. I think it will last me about 2 months, which is great compared to other make up removers I've tried in the same price range. Тhe only thing someone might not like is that it leaves a light residue on the skin but personally I don't mind it.

I love this product a lot and it will definitely be part of my skincare routine for a long time, so I highly recommend trying it if you're looking for a good cleansing water/make up remover. Tell me about your favorite make up remover in the comments below!

Favorite Perfume: Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia

Hi, everyone! Today I decided to tell you about my favorite scent in the moment. It is the Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia perfume.

I have been using it for about six months already and I'm completely in love with it. It is a perfect combination of fresh and sweet scent. It is suitable for day and night wear and pretty much for every occasion.

It is hard to describe a scent so I recommend going to the nearest shop and just giving it a try. But if you are someone that likes very strong and sweet scents, I don't think you'll like it a lot. Another favorite fragrance of mine is the Paris Hilton Heiress Perfume (sadly I think it is discontinued because I can't find it my local shops). So in case you liked that one you'll probably love the Acqua di Gioia as well!

Product Review: Maybelline Nailpolish

I recently got a Maybelline Color Drama Nail Polish in the color 64 (I can't find a name on the bottle) so I decided to share my thoughts on it.

This is the first time I've tried a Maybelline Nail Polish and I'm left with mixed feelings. I got it because I fell in love with the color which is a really pretty pink/magenta almost red color. I thought it was very unique and that's why I liked it so much. The thing I didn't like about it was that the application was kind of difficult because the brush wasn't very comfortable to use. I applied two coats which was more than enough to get the right color. What impressed me the most was the lasting power of this nail polish. It just lasted so much longer than other nail polishes I've tried. I didn't use a topcoat but it has lasted me a week with very minimal chipping so that's a big plus!

Thanks for reading and follow me on Instagram @petyaruskova for random everyday photos!

It looks a lot more red on camera than it really is :)

My Evening Skincare Routine

Today's blog post is about my evening skincare routine. I already did a post about my morning routine here.

The first thing I do is remove my makeup. I do that by washing my face with the Nivea Soothing Cleansing Mousse. It has a liquid consistency in the bottle but the product comes out as a light foam. It is a good cleanser but it doesn't remove eye makeup very well. I'm almost out of it and I probably won't repurchase it right away because I'm curious to try out some other products.

Next thing I do is remove my eye makeup with the Nivea Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover. This is a very good makeup remover even for waterproof mascara. The only thing I don't like about it is that it comes in a very small bottle so I have to repurchase it quite often.

Lastly, I use the Clean&Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser. I'm completely in love with this product. If there is any dirt left on my skin, it completely takes care of it. I use it on a cotton pad on my face and neck. It has really helped me with blackheads and oiliness on my face.

So this is my current skincare routine. Tell me about what products you use in the comments below! Thanks for reading!

My Morning Skincare Routine

Today's blogpost is about what I do in the morning to take care of my skin. I have combination skin so I try not to use products that are too drying or overly hydrating on my face.

The first thing I do, is cleanse my face with the Garnier Pure Exfo Brusher cleanser. I've been using this product for a couple of weeks and I still can't decide if it has helped my skin or not. I bought it because it has a brush which I thought would clean my skin better than using my hands only. The one thing I like for sure is that your face gets a nice massage while using this product.

That's everything I use in the morning to cleanse my skin. Next I just apply my eye cream and face moisturiser. For my eye area I use the Clinique Age Defense Eye Cream with SPF 20. I got a sample of this when I bought one of their mascaras. It is a very small sample but I have been using it for about a month already and I still have product left. I'm not impressed by this eye cream. I expected more from a high-end product so I won't be buying the full size. It is not bad but I haven't noticed a great effect on my skin.

On the rest of my face I use the Essentials Moisturising Day Cream by Oriflame. It is very inexpensive but I like it. It leaves the skin nice and soft and it absorbs very quickly into the skin. This is a big plus for me because I hate the feeling of something greasy on my face.

So that is my morning skincare routine. Next post will be about my evening skincare routine. Thanks for reading!

Product Review: Maybelline Color Wisper Lipsticks

Hello, everyone! My name is Petya. I decided to start my own beauty blog to share my knowledge and opinion about all beauty related things. I am going to do mostly product reviews but I may do some makeup tutorials in the future as well.

My first post is a review of the Maybelline Color Wisper lipsticks.

First off, I am going to start with the color range. There are 20 colors in the line but in my local drugstore there were about 10 colors so I'm not sure which ones will be available in your drugstore. This line offers a great selection of pink, red, coral and nude colors. There is something for everyone. All the colors are quite sheer so don't be scared of what you see in the tube. Try them on your hand to see the actual color. They look very naturally on the lips. The color I went for is Pink Possibilities 65 which is a warm coral color.

The Color Wispers feel very comfortably on the lips but I don't find them very moisturizing so be sure to put a lip balm underneath if you have dry lips. I'm not super impressed by their lasting power. I am afraid that you won't like them if you are a person that is not into reapplying lipstick regularly. As for the price they are not too expensive so they're worth the try!

In conclusion, if you are looking for a natural everyday color that you can throw on even without a mirror, then you should definitely give them a try! I would love to read what you think and your color recommendations in the comments below!
